"THE HISTORY OF DAGGERS-FROM ANCIENT BLADES TO MODERN TACTICAL KNIVES" Daggers are among humanity's oldest weapons, first crafted thousands of years ago when early civilizations shaped copper and bronze into short double-edged blades for hunting, ritual and close combats. In ancient Eygypt and Mesopotamia, they symbolized power and authority and among Greeks  and Romans it became practical battlefield sidearm carried by soldiers and used in famouse assassinations. As armors improved during Middle Ages daggers improved too specialized to slip through gaps in plate and chainmail. The renewal transformed them into elegent yet lethal allies for rapiers in combat. With the rise of firearms daggers gentaly shifted from primary weapons to secondary tools serving sailors, soldiers and explorers.
